3 Surefire Ways To Increase Metabolism Every Morning

When we wake up in the morning after a night's sleep, our metabolic rate is as low as 1 calorie per minute. There are two reasons for it.

  1. First, metabolism drops to its lowest while we are asleep.

  2. Second, body is starved for about 8 to 10 hours. It is the time when your system needs some solid food.

But most people end up further starving their bodies, as a result of which their metabolic rate doesn't shoot up.

Morning time is the best time if you want to switch on your calorie consuming engine. A few right things done at this hour can increase metabolism also giving you more energy throughout the day.

All you have to do is to spare five minutes every morning. Technically speaking, it actually takes less than five minutes because these are the things that you do anyways. Here is what you need to do:

1. Drink two glassful of water right after you get out of bed

Sounds simple? Here is what it does to your body. Drinking water will increase your metabolism by 13-15%. The side kick, it will improve your bowel movement. So you won't have to spend more time in the toilet.

2. Do some push ups and squats

After you are done with your morning rituals, do about 15-20 push ups and about equal number of squats. Make sure you don't spend much time on it. Ideally, it should not take more than 2-3 minutes. This will increase your metabolic rate further.

3. Eat something solid within 40 minutes of waking up

Now this is something most people find most difficult to do and digest. Please don't get into the technicalities of it. Eating anything solid in the morning will increase your metabolism by another 36%.

Imagine doing these ostensibly simple activities can do to your physique. An elevated metabolism is the best thing that you can do to your self.

It is not how many calories you burn in an hour of work out, but the amount of calories burned in rest of the 23 hours that counts.
